Collaborative Action Groups update

With three active CAGs already in operation -Education, Healthcare, Postvention - discussions are in place to develop a fourth group for Emergency Services.

A meeting is being convened of senior leaders from Police, Fire and Ambulance services to explore how a more consistent approach to suicide prevention can be introduced across all services.

This new CAG would also align with the British Standard Institute's BS30480 suicide awareness standard which would be developed specifically for the emergency services sector.

The Hope Exchange update

Due to be launched anytime soon, The Hope Exchange is designed to be a safe and supportive space for OVOH members to engage in positive and hope-filled conversations, share ideas and resources and build friendships with those who have a shared vision to achieve a significant reduction in suicide deaths in the UK.

Purpose of The Hope Exchange

The Exchange is a shared learning space for people and organisations working to reduce suicide and improve suicide prevention across the UK.

The aim of The Exchange is to create a collaborative environment where members can share learning, knowledge and good practice, exchange ideas and insights, learn from research, innovation and lived experience and work together to strengthen suicide prevention efforts.

By participating in The Hope Exchange, members contribute to a collective effort to save lives through shared learning and collaboration.

When everyone connects, no one falls through the cracks
